After multiple delays, Samsung finally began rolling out the One UI 7 update to its devices, prioritizing flagship models before shifting focus to mid-range and budget smartphones. However, the rollout hasn’t gone smoothly for every model. The company has now paused the update for the Galaxy A34, raising concerns among users.
Samsung halts One UI 7 update for Galaxy A34
The update, identified by build number DYE7, was initially released in South Korea earlier this month and gradually expanded to Europe and other regions. But according to several user reports and shared screenshots, Samsung has halted the distribution of the update for all Galaxy A34 variants.
Interestingly, the screenshots reveal that the DYE7 build, once labeled as stable, is now flagged as test firmware. This change suggests Samsung is no longer confident in the update’s readiness for wider public release.
The pause isn’t limited to South Korea’s SM-A346N model — the European SM-A346B and global SM-A346E versions are also affected. While Samsung has yet to release an official statement explaining the sudden decision, early reports point to user experience issues discovered in the current build.
This isn’t the first time Samsung has temporarily suspended an update due to unexpected bugs. A similar situation occurred earlier this year with the Galaxy S24 series. In that case, the rollout resumed shortly after stability fixes were implemented.
For now, users are advised not to worry. It’s likely that Samsung will address the problems and resume the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy A34 once the necessary improvements are made.
