Samsung continues to release updates for phones and tablets!

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung is one of the leading firms in the Android market and prioritizes updates, following Google. The technology giant typically provides two years of operating system updates and four years of security updates for its introduced devices. With the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has extended this period to seven years. Here are the Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets that continue to receive updates.

Samsung continues to support updates for these devices. According to the company’s statements, phones released in 2019 and later will receive a minimum of four years of security updates, while selected newer devices will receive updates for up to five years. Although support may end for security updates, Samsung can release updates in exceptional cases for significant security vulnerabilities.

As new models are released and time passes, support for updates ends for older devices gradually rather than abruptly cutting off updates. Updates initially range from monthly to quarterly for Galaxy phones and tablets, and then they are added to the two-year update list.
