Samsung drops support for three Galaxy phones

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung has discontinued update support for the Galaxy S10 series, A30, and A50 models. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold is also affected by this decision.

Samsung, one of the most successful manufacturers in terms of Android updates, is cutting support for some of its older models. According to the latest announcement from the company, update support has ended for the Galaxy S10 family, A30, and A50.

Samsung will not provide updates for the Galaxy S10

Samsung is withdrawing support from some of its older devices, including the Galaxy S10 series, as well as the Galaxy A30 and A50, which were released in 2019. The decision is part of the company’s policy to provide five years of security updates and four years of Android updates to smartphones.

Biggest camera update from Samsung!

The big camera update for the Galaxy S23 series, which was shared by Samsung in Korea last week, is now available for users in Europe

However, this regulation will apply to the Galaxy S21 series and subsequent models. This means that older models will no longer receive updates. It should be noted that the Galaxy S10 family was announced in 2019 and supported for four years.

The Galaxy S10 series received its last security update in March 2023. In fact, it was not directly affected by any security vulnerability. Nevertheless, Samsung recommends all users to install the latest security update.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 5G were not among the devices with discontinued support. This may be due to their later release and not being considered part of the S10 series.

In addition to the Galaxy S10 series, A30, and A50 not receiving updates, the Galaxy Z Flip will no longer receive monthly updates. Accordingly, updates will be shared only once every three months.
