Samsung Exynos 2500 processor comes with innovation!

Ana sayfa / News

New technical details about Samsung’s first smartphone processor, the Exynos 2500, developed with a 3nm manufacturing process, have been clarified. The South Korea-based company confirmed that the processor offers emergency messaging support via satellite in regions where cellular connectivity is insufficient.

The Exynos 2500 enables satellite connectivity via the Exynos 5400 5G modem it hosts. The modem can connect directly to low-orbit satellites using NB-IoT NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) technology.

Thus, users can send emergency messages even in regions outside the coverage area of the mobile network. Although hardware-level support is provided, it is not yet clear whether this feature will be activated in all markets.

The Exynos 2500 was expected to be first included in the Galaxy S25 series. However, due to Samsung Foundry’s failure to achieve the targeted efficiency in the production process on time, the Galaxy S25 models were released only with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite for Galaxy processor.

It is stated that as a result of the improved production techniques, the Exynos 2500 is now ready for mass production and this processor will be offered for use with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 model, which is planned to be introduced in July.

This development will be an important step towards the integration of systems that will provide connectivity, especially in disaster situations, into mobile devices.
