When it comes to the mid-range segment, the Samsung Galaxy A30 series, which has garnered significant interest from users, is set to remain a favorite for those seeking a powerful yet affordable device next year, just like this year’s A35. Technical details and price estimates for the Galaxy A36, expected to launch in the first half of 2025, have surfaced. Here are the details…
Samsung Galaxy A36 might come with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3!
The highly anticipated Samsung mid-range smartphone, Galaxy A36 5G, has had its technical specifications revealed in the Geekbench database. Listed under the model number SM-A366B, the device is poised to bring noteworthy updates.
One of the standout features of the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy A36 5G is that it will come with the Android 15 operating system. Considering that Samsung hasn’t even released the beta version of Android 15 yet, this will likely draw the attention of those looking for a mid-range device with Android 15 support.
On the processor side, things get interesting. According to Geekbench data, the phone will use a processor codenamed ‘Parrot.’
While it’s speculated that this codename could refer to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, the fact that this processor is nearly two years old suggests Samsung may opt for the newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The processor’s core speeds of 2.4 GHz and 1.8 GHz in Geekbench tests further support this possibility.
Compared to the Exynos 1380 processor used in the Galaxy A35, using a modern Snapdragon 6 or 7 series processor would mark a significant performance boost. As for RAM, the device is expected to come with at least 6 GB, with an optional 8 GB RAM variant likely to be available.
Finally, let’s talk about the launch date… Considering the Galaxy A35 was unveiled in March, the Galaxy A36 5G is also expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2025, likely around March.
