Samsung releases Android 13 update to Galaxy S21, more

Samsung first launched the latest Android software update to the Galaxy S22 series at the end of October, and now the company is expanding Android 13 to more devices. According to the announcements, Samsung releases the software update to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Note 20 series starting today in some regions. Galaxy S21, S20, and Note 20 series are getting Android 13 (One UI 5.0)

The tech giant has finally started rolling out the stable Android 13 update to Galaxy devices in some regions. While the latest Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings a lot of new features, it also comes with firmware version N98xBXXU5GVJE and brings the October 2022 security patch to the devices. It means that the update comes with several bug fixes and more. The One UI 5.0 also brings a refreshed UI design, faster performance, better ease of use, and several new features to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy Note 20 series.

The company is releasing Android 13 first to the Galaxy S21 series, with the update live in some regions of Europe, primarily in Germany. The update is available for the S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra with the following version numbers.

Additionally, Samsung releases the One UI 5.0 to the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 20 series. Although the devices were launched in 2020, the tech company doesn’t leave these devices alone and behind. The update appears to be live in Germany and Switzerland for the S20/S20+, S20 Ultra, and Note 20/Note 20 Ultra.

How to check for updates on Galaxy devices

If you have one of these devices, and want to check the updates, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings on your Samsung Galaxy device.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and look for the Software update. Tap it.
  3. Tap, Download and install.

It is still unclear when these updates will expand to other regions, such as the United States. However, the company could release the Android 13 update to the Galaxy to these regions soon.
