The Samsung Galaxy S24 series has strengthened the company’s position in the smartphone market and encountered significant demand, with stocks running out in Turkey in the first week. Responding swiftly to this high demand, Samsung quickly replenished new stocks.
The Galaxy S24 series set a record by reaching 1 million units sold in the first 28 days in South Korea, making it one of the fastest-selling models Samsung has ever released. A similar situation is observed in the United States and India as well. But what do these devices offer?
The Samsung Galaxy S24, positioned at the lower end of the new S series in terms of features, is a complete flagship nonetheless. The device features a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2600 nits.
Looking at the processor, unlike the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the device uses the Exynos 2400 chip with AI support instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, it comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage.
On the back, there’s a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, there’s a 12-megapixel selfie camera. In terms of battery, the device packs a 4000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Features
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, the middle model of the new series, features some similarities with the S24 and S24 Ultra. With a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, the device offers a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 2600 nits.
Similar to the Galaxy S24, the S24 Plus also uses the Exynos 2400 chip with AI support. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The camera setup is identical to the Galaxy S24, and the device is powered by a 4900 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Features
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is positioned not only as the flagship of the S series but also as the flagship of the entire Galaxy family. With a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the device offers a resolution of 1440×3088 pixels, a refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 2600 nits. Additionally, it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 3.
Contrary to leaks, the device features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, built on a 4 nm process, along with the Adreno 750 GPU. It boasts 12 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.
The camera setup includes a quad-camera system with a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, there’s a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, it supports 8K video recording at 30 FPS on the rear and 4K video recording at 60 FPS on the front.
The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 45W PD3.0 wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. It also features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 3.2 Type-C, AKG-tuned stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint scanner, Samsung DeX, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a titanium body with an internal S-Pen.
