Leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, expected to be official in January, continue apace. While it’s anticipated that the series will consist of the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, a key processor claim has been confirmed. Evidence published by SamMobile suggests that the Galaxy S26 Pro will likely feature Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 chip in most countries. Here are the details.

Samsung appears to be continuing its dual-processor strategy, which it has been implementing for years in its flagship phones, with the S26 series. According to the report, the majority of the Galaxy S26 Pro in the global market will utilize the Exynos 2600 processor.

However, in strategic markets like the United States and China, the S26 Pro is expected to be sold with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The same processor distribution approach is likely to be applied to the Galaxy S26+, another key member of the series.

In addition to the Exynos 2600’s striking technical specifications, the S26 series model range is also undergoing significant changes. The Exynos 2600 is expected to be Samsung’s first 2nm mobile chip. This could mark the beginning of a new era of efficiency and performance in mobile processors.

The chip is expected to feature a deca-core CPU in a 1+3+6 configuration. Mass production reportedly began last month. Samsung has reportedly restarted development of the Galaxy S26+, which was rumored to have been discontinued, after the Galaxy S25 Edge failed to meet expected sales performance. This suggests the Plus model will retain its place in the series.
