Samsung continues its efforts in the foldable phone market. As part of this push, the South Korean company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models during the summer. The latest developments shed new light on the processor that will power the Z Flip 7.

A significant detail regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 has now become clearer. The Exynos 2500 processor, which was previously rumored to be used in the Galaxy S25 series but was reportedly scrapped due to production efficiency issues, is now expected to appear in the Z Flip 7, according to new reports.

If true, this would mark the first time Samsung includes an Exynos processor in one of its foldable models. The reports indicate that the device will launch with the Exynos 2500 in several markets, including South Korea and India. Meanwhile, the model will be sold with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” variant in regions like China and North America. This suggests that Samsung will continue its traditional strategy of releasing devices with different processors depending on the market.

Past reports also claim the device will feature a dual-cell battery setup with a total capacity of 4,300 mAh.
