Samsung has announced that it will unveil its new Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 mid-range smartphones on March 11. This news follows many rumors about the specifications of the upcoming A-series devices. Samsung also confirmed some important details.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 will feature the Key Island design with metallic and the A35 with plastic bezels. Samsung says the devices will stand out with low-light photography, a powerful processor for gaming, Knox security and water resistance.

Samsung also said it will provide 4 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security updates for the A55 and A35. This update commitment will be standard for Galaxy phones in the future.

The most exciting detail was the claim that the Galaxy A55 could come with a 12GB RAM model according to the Geekbench list. This shows that it will be one of the first mid-range devices to come with 12GB RAM.
