As you may recall, last week, we reported that the South Korean tech giant Samsung was experiencing significant indecision regarding the Galaxy S25 series, specifically whether to use its own Exynos 2500 processor or the costly Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Samsung has made its decision, and it has disappointed fans eagerly awaiting the devices.

Exynos 2500 Will Be Used in the Samsung Galaxy S25!

The processor choice for Samsung’s flagship series has once again become a topic of debate. According to reliable tech leak source Sawyer Galox, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models will use the Exynos 2500 chipset developed by Samsung itself. This decision was made, as previously stated, due to the rising costs of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

The Exynos 2500, which appeared in the Geekbench database, features a 10-core architecture similar to its predecessor. A rare feature among smartphone processors, it includes three performance cores, achieving remarkable results in benchmark tests. According to data shared by NanoReview, the Exynos 2500 scored 2666 in single-core and 8839 in multi-core on Geekbench tests.

These scores fall short compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which scored over 3000 and 9000 points. However, rivals with Snapdragon 8 Gen processors, such as the OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13, equipped with advanced cooling solutions, managed to achieve higher performance values.

Samsung’s decision has already caused disappointment among users who have lost faith in Exynos processors. It’s safe to say that people are now curious about how the S25 and S25+ models will perform, particularly in terms of sustained performance.

What do you think about this? Do you think Samsung will regret not choosing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4? We look forward to your comments.
