Samsung increases security level with One UI 8!

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung is including the Warning Center, a new feature aimed at increasing user security, in its system with the One UI 8 update. The Warning Center will collect privacy and security information in a central point on Android-based Samsung devices and warn users about potential risks. The feature will both identify existing security vulnerabilities in the system and provide information about the access permissions of applications.

With the new feature, accesses made by applications to sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, location and contacts become more visible. The Warning Center sends notifications to the user, especially when these accesses occur in the background.

When applications start using permissions more frequently than usual, the system warns the user to review or cancel them. At the same time, new permissions requested by applications with updates can be controlled via the Warning Center.

The system is not limited to permissions only. The Warning Center serves as a dashboard for the general security status of the device. It reports the potential risks of outdated applications and warns against applications detected to contain malware.

It also notifies the user when their Google or Samsung account is not secure. In addition, there is a reminder function for security measures such as activating biometric security when location tracking is off. Alerts regarding the Find My Device feature are also part of the system.

The Alert Center will be accessible from the Security and Privacy Alerts section under the Settings menu on devices with One UI 8. The feature not only increases security; it also aims to strengthen users’ digital awareness.

Samsung’s move stands out as an important move to make mobile security more visible and user-friendly, especially in the face of increasing digital threats.
