Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, is preparing to unveil the Galaxy S25 series next month. Thanks to previous leaks, we already have a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming models. The latest developments suggest that the South Korean brand will implement a significant change with the new series.

As is well known, the Galaxy S24 series, launched earlier this year, featured a base memory capacity of 8 GB. However, according to a report by well-known industry leaker Abhishek Yadav, the era of 8 GB RAM will come to an end with the new series. The upcoming phones are expected to hit the shelves starting with 12 GB RAM.

But that’s not all. According to the same source, the base storage capacity will also increase from 128 GB to 256 GB. In summary, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus models will be offered with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage as entry-level configurations.

Industry insider Evleaks recently shared a poster for the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, where the Galaxy S25 series will be introduced. According to the leak, Samsung’s highly anticipated smartphones will be unveiled on January 22.

The Ultra model is expected to be available in configurations of 12/16 GB RAM and 256/512 GB and 1 TB internal storage options.

Although not yet confirmed, it is rumored that the brand may also showcase its XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan, at the event. Additionally, the stable version of One UI 7, which is currently in beta testing, is likely to be released on this date. Samsung previously confirmed that the new update would roll out alongside the Galaxy S25 models.
