Samsung has launched the world’s first 500Hz monitor
The new gaming monitor uses a 27-inch QD-OLED panel. Offering a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio, the screen comes with HDR10+ support. The panel, which has an anti-glare layer, provides an ultra-smooth gaming experience with a 0.03 millisecond response time (GTG) and a 500Hz refresh rate.
Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ technology used in the monitor is equipped with a special cooling system for the thermal management of the screen. This system provides heat dissipation five times faster than graphite sheet. It also automatically adjusts the brightness level, preventing overheating and screen burn-in.
The monitor is compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies. This prevents screen tearing and provides smooth visuals in games. Connection options include 1 DisplayPort 1.4, 2 USB Type-A, 1 USB Type-B and headphone output. The monitor, which works with an external adapter, consumes 140W of power.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) is on sale with a price tag of $1488. So what do you think about this product? Which monitor do you use in your daily life? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
