Now, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 200-megapixel main camera according to the reports. Here are the details.
Samsung’s new flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra
Indeed, the Android phone manufacturer launched the 200MP HP1 sensor in September 2021. However, Samsung did not use the high-resolution sensor yet. According to the reports by ET News, the brand will use the 200MP sensor in Galaxy S23 Ultra. It will be the only device in the S23 lineup to offer a 200MP camera.
However, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will not be the first phone that uses a 200-megapixel camera. Motorola launched its X30 Pro model with a 200-megapixel main camera in China last week. Samsung could use a similar sensor for its new flagship. The company has used 108MP cameras since 2020’s Ultra models. This will be a first for the brand.
ET News reported, “Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung Electronics are producing 200-megapixel cameras in a ratio of 7 to 3. The supply chain is expected to expand to other parts suppliers, when 200 million pixel cameras are applied to lower-end products. Samsung partners are anticipating the development and production roadmaps related to this.”
Samsung first developed a 200-megapixel image sensor and introduced the world’s first 200-megapixel mobile image sensor last year. The technology brands are always upgrading their cameras in the megapixel race which is about pixel binning. We will see more camera sensors with higher features and pixels in the future.
