Samsung is known as one of the most popular Android phone manufacturers. The company releases security updates to its devices monthly. The manufacturer also released a security update in October 2022. While the update has been available for select Galaxy devices, Samsung is expanding the update to the other models. Galaxy S, Fold, Note, A Series getting Samsung October security update
While there are no details about the latest Android Security Update Bulletin, Samsung is expected to release an update for the important bug fixes of common issues. Samsung explains, “Along with Google patches, Samsung Mobile provides 18 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items described below, in order to improve our customer’s confidence on security of Samsung Mobile devices. Samsung security index (SSI), found in “Security software version”, SMR Oct-2022 Release 1 includes all patches from Samsung and Google. Some of the SVE items may not be included in this package, in case these items were already included in a previous maintenance release.”
