Samsung Now Supports Gemini Live
Recently, at the Made by Google event, Google unveiled its new flagship Pixel 9 series along with the new Gemini features. One of the most intriguing features introduced was Gemini Live. According to Google’s announcements, both Google and Samsung devices were expected to support this feature, and now, even before the Pixel 9 launch, Samsung has introduced Gemini Live support. Here are the details…
Gemini Live Now Available on Select Samsung Devices
Google revealed that Gemini Live has received specific enhancements for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This feature, expected to roll out to newer devices, including the Z Fold 3, will unfortunately only be available to paid subscribers under the Gemini Advanced plan.
Gemini Live operates similarly to the voice interaction feature announced by ChatGPT a few months ago, allowing the AI to engage in conversations just like a human. During the chat, you can interrupt the AI to ask for more information or change the topic. However, Gemini Live currently does not support Google services such as Calendar, Drive, Gmail, Keep, YouTube, and YouTube Music.
On Samsung’s side, this feature is expected to become available on more phones and tablets. When activated, you’ll see a small icon in the bottom-right corner of the extension, where you can learn how to use the app and start a conversation by pressing the talk button.
Like ChatGPT, Gemini Live offers the option to interact with different voices, though it currently only supports English. However, more language options are expected to be added in the coming months. Additionally, Samsung has announced plans to introduce new features for Bixby, which has not seen significant updates in years.
