After Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 at its Unpacked event on July 10, the anticipation for One UI 7 has accelerated. According to the latest leaks, the Korean tech giant plans to make major visual changes to the Android interface. So, when will the One UI 7 beta version arrive?
When will One UI 7 Beta be released?
According to renowned Samsung leaker Ice Universe, Samsung plans to launch the One UI 7 beta program in late July or early August. However, they will stick to this timeline if there are no last-minute development issues. Otherwise, as with the One UI 6 beta, the beta program could be delayed by a few weeks.
Before the beta program starts, Samsung is expected to officially announce One UI 7 and highlight all the new features and changes. This software update will be released first in the US and South Korea for the Galaxy S2024 series, Samsung’s 24 flagship phones. A wider release is expected to follow with the second beta.
For the last few years, Samsung has typically released a beta version of its next big One UI release in late July or early August. It looks like they will stick to the same timeline this year. If all goes as planned, the stable One UI 7 version will be ready for Samsung’s flagship phones in late September or early October.
Samsung introduced a redesigned Quick Settings panel with One UI 6 based on Android 14. This year, there are rumors that bigger changes are on the way. The Korean giant is reportedly planning to split the notification panel into two sections: notification and quick settings panel. Xiaomi has done something similar with HyperOS on its phones, and it looks like Samsung will follow suit.
Other changes include redesigned and smoother animations, rounded app icons with a slight 3D effect. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
