Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy S22 series today. The company has finally released the October security patch for Galaxy S22 users in Europe and other countries. Here are the details…
New Security Update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series
According to the update notes, the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra models are receiving a package weighing approximately 265 MB, with the firmware version S90xBXXSCEXI4. In a recently published note, Samsung announced that the October update addresses about 42 security vulnerabilities in Android and its own custom interface, One UI.
Since this type of update is rolled out in bulk, it is currently unknown when it will be available for smartphones in Turkey. However, it is expected that all Galaxy S22 models will receive the new update globally by the end of this week.
To check if the October security update has arrived on your device, you can go to the Settings page and follow the steps: “Software Update > Download and Install.”
If you still haven’t seen the new update, we recommend waiting a few more days and then following these steps again.
While Samsung continues to distribute the October update package for mid-range smartphones, the company is also expected to soon release the One UI 7.0 beta version based on Android 15.
