Samsung Ray-Ban Meta rival smart glasses launch date leaked!

In the middle of last month, a report surfaced claiming that Qualcomm, Samsung and Google have joined forces to make a pair of smart glasses. Based on the leaks, it is known that the glasses will be a Meta Ray-Ban-like glasses. The latest information from South Korea suggests that Samsung will introduce a smart glasses with the Galaxy S25 Slim series.

After Apple unveiled the Vision Pro in February this year, users have been waiting for its rival Samsung to make a move. Long-standing leaks suggest that Samsung is working on a smart glasses in collaboration with Qualcomm and Google. Recently, new leaks from the South Korean press indicate that Samsung will introduce a new XR device in January along with the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

It is known that Samsung will first reveal this smart device in January 2025, but it will not be physically unveiled. The same was done with the Samsung Ring earlier this year. The smart ring was first shown to the audience at the end of the Samsung Unpacked event. It was then revealed at Mobile World Congress and finally launched this August alongside the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 series. The company is expected to plan the same for the XR glasses. According to sources, Samsung will first unveil the device at its Unpacked event and it will go on sale in the third quarter of 2025. The glasses are expected to use Sony’s 12-megapixel IMX681 camera and Qualcomm’s AR1 processor.

Samsung develops all-solid-state battery for the first time

Samsung has announced the development of an all-solid-state battery. This means a new chapter compared to lithium-ion batteries.

The company is expected to make special software for this device and the software is expected to be revealed later this month. What is known about the XR glasses planned to be produced by Samsung is limited. However, it is known that there will be no screen on the glasses. At the same time, these glasses may weigh about 50 grams. In addition, Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence will play a role in these glasses, which are thought to have artificial intelligence. Gemini can take on a few features such as gesture recognition and payment support on the glasses. Smart glasses are expected to be announced at the Unpacked event on January 22, 2025 with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
