After removing the Bluetooth feature of the S Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung gave a clear response to rumours that the S Pen could be completely removed in future models. The company announced that S Pen support will continue in the Ultra series, the top model of the Galaxy S series.
Samsung will continue S Pen support on the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Annika Bizon, Samsung’s Vice President of Product and Marketing for Mobile Experience (MX) UK, stated in an interview that users are actively using the S Pen and emphasised that this accessory will continue to be an integral part of the Ultra series.
‘People use the S Pen to take notes in meetings. Therefore, I cannot imagine a scenario where the S Pen is not an important part of our portfolio. Right now, we see the S Pen as the key to the Ultra experience.’
Responding to questions that the S Pen may lose its importance in the future with the development of artificial intelligence technologies, Bizon said, ‘Creativity is one of our core values. If you are creative, you want to be able to draw and design something. With our AI-supported Sketch to Image feature, users can create more advanced drawings. This provides a great design advantage.’
Samsung’s statements confirm the presence of the S Pen in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while showing that it will continue to be a part of the Ultra series in the future. The company continues its efforts to improve the S Pen with both traditional use and artificial intelligence-supported innovations. So what do you think about this issue?
