Samsung will only use Qualcomm-signed Snapdragon processors in the Galaxy S23 series, which will come at the beginning of 2023, as confirmed by many different sources. This situation and other rumours were evaluated that the company has terminated Exynos processors.
When will we see the Exynos processor
The company, which recently made an official statement, stated that they went through a restructuring on the Exynos side. Saying that they have established these plans in the medium and long term, Samsung can spend 2023 without introducing a new Exynos processor. In 2024, it can be a firm name in this field again.
“Currently, we are reorganizing our system-on-chip (SoC) business model and are pursuing a plan to strengthen our competitiveness in the mid-to long-term,” the company said.
“In particular, we are focusing on strengthening the competitiveness of the next-generation mobile Exynos processor, and we are trying to maximise the market share of major customers by strengthening cooperation with leading IP companies and starting early development,” the company added.
A dedicated processor for Galaxy
The technology giant has recently been on the agenda with important news about the processor. It was said that a special processor is being developed only for the “Galaxy” series. It was informed that this special processor would enter Galaxy phones specifically and will be specially designed by the mobile department that produces the phones.
In the later information on this subject, a team of 1,000 people would be formed for these processors in July. This project, which will be controlled by two different senior managers. It is claimed that the aforementioned special processor will only appear in the Galaxy S25 series, that is, in 2025.
These new processors, exclusive to Galaxy phones, will probably bring even better hardware and software optimisation than Exynos processors. Thanks to this, devices will become much more efficient and consume less energy.
