Samsung’s August 2024 Update for the Z Fold and Z Flip Series
Regular security updates continue with August 2024. Despite being 10 days into the month, the update is now being rolled out for the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series. Here are the details of the Samsung August 2024 update for these devices:
Samsung August 2024 Update, Not Yet Available for Z Fold 6
Although Samsung continues to release updates, it’s surprising that the latest security update has not yet been made available for the newest foldable phones, the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Devices still running the June or July updates are expected to receive the August update soon.
The August 2024 update addresses 50 security vulnerabilities, some of which are critical, so it is recommended to apply the update. The update is currently available for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Fold 4, and Z Fold 5 with software versions F926USQS7IXG6, F936U1UES6FXGJ, and F946U1UES4CXG6, respectively, in the U.S.
Similarly, the August 2024 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Z Flip 4, and Z Flip 5 also addresses the same vulnerabilities. The update for these devices comes with software versions F711USQS8IXG6, F721USQS6FXGJ, and F731U1UES4CXG6, respectively, and is currently available in the U.S. It’s worth noting that these security updates do not bring new features and are focused solely on security improvements.
