Samsung’s XR headset will leave Apple Vision Pro behind!

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung’s new generation XR headset is preparing to offer innovations that could surpass Apple Vision Pro in terms of display technology. Developed under the name “Project Moohan” and recently introduced at the MWC 2025 event, the device draws attention especially with its high-resolution display. According to sources in the sector, Samsung’s XR headset will have OLEDOS technology and will offer a pixel density of 3,800 PPI on its 1.3-inch panels.

For comparison, while today’s high-end smartphones generally have values of 500-600 PPI, the Meta Quest 3 is around 1,200 PPI and the Apple Vision Pro is at 3,400 PPI. Thus, Samsung’s device can offer a superior experience than Apple’s model in terms of image quality.

While the OLEDOS panels used by the Apple Vision Pro are produced by Sony, it is stated that Samsung has developed its own display solution. However, industry analysts predict that Samsung will not be able to reach the highest PPI value on the market with these screens. Another panel of similar size from Sony stands out as one of the highest density screens in the industry, reaching 4,000 PPI.

Tecno Megabook S14 comes with external graphics card support. Thus, productivity will increase in jobs that require high performance.

However, it is stated that the production cost of these panels is quite high, and even sample versions cost over $ 1,000. This means that Samsung’s XR headset can be offered with a premium price tag.

While it is known that each screen of the Apple Vision Pro is produced for around $ 300, Samsung’s solution is expected to come with a similar or higher cost. Therefore, Samsung’s XR headset will also be positioned in the high segment.
