Huawei continues its efforts to increase its share in the foldable phone business. The Chinese brand has moved into the final stage of the follow-up model of Pocket S, which it will put on sale in 2022. Huawei announced in a post on Weibo that the Pocket 2 model will be introduced on February 22. The phone, which is expected to continue the P50 Pocket and Pocket S design language, will fold inwards in terms of concept and will compete with models such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Digital Chat Station, known for its leaks in the industry, revealed new details about the Huawei Pocket S2 model. Accordingly, there will be a triple camera setup in two circular modules on the back panel of the foldable phone. At the front, we will be greeted by a perforated screen design.
Kirin 9000S, a 5G-supported chipset, will be used in the foldable phone. Apart from this, it will be powered by a 4,520 mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging. Additionally, it will be available in grey color with glass back panel and purple color with leather back panel. Moreover, it is expected to come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is also expected to offer other features, such as messaging support via satellite connection and water-resistant construction.
