Say goodbye to TV: YouTube News Center is live now!

Ana sayfa / Social Media

YouTube is the most widely used online video sharing platform in the world. This is a testament to the sheer number of users it attracts. At a time when misinformation is widespread and in some cases even encouraged on many platforms, YouTube is creating a news center section to direct users to reliable news sources. Thus, it will deliver the right news to the number of users it addresses.

How will the YouTube news center look like?

First, YouTube will offer a dedicated, immersive hub for news. This page will bring together news from “authoritative sources” in a variety of formats. This will include video-on-demand, live streams, podcasts and Shorts. This will allow users to follow in-depth news from many sources.

According to YouTube, the aim is to help users learn more about a topic or story from a variety of sources and angles, making it easier to explore a topic in depth. You will be able to access the watch page of a topic or story by clicking on the relevant video with a newspaper icon on the YouTube homepage or in search results.

YouTube is starting to roll out this feature on mobile devices in around 40 countries. It will eventually come to desktop and TV apps. “We believe this updated news experience will help viewers access a variety of trusted and diverse sources when they want to dive into a news topic,” said Brandon Feldman, YouTube’s director of news and civic partnerships, and Geoff Samek, director of news product management.

The new feature that won’t let you forget to subscribe on YouTube!

The popular video streaming platform YouTube is set to make the Like and Subscribe buttons more vibrant for content creators.

YouTube has also created a program to support news organizations’ ability to create short videos. The Shorts Innovation Program for news is designed to help those who already have a strong track record of publishing long news videos but need more resources and expertise to improve their Shorts presentation.

“Now more than ever, especially in times of elections, unrest and natural disasters, we’re committed to bringing people high-quality information they can trust,” the company said. In this way, YouTube is also implementing its goal of expanding its content pool and becoming the main program to follow the news.
