According to the news that emerged today, Twitter has blocked Threads links in search results. The information suggests that when users search for “url.threads.net” on Twitter, no results are displayed.
Normally, when such a search is made, every Tweet with a Threads link appears for users. However, this situation implies that there is a blockage in place. Twitter and Elon Musk have not made any statements regarding this issue.
It is worth mentioning that Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has strongly criticized the new platform. Additionally, Musk even threatened legal action against Meta. Therefore, it is not surprising that many people believe the imposed restriction was done intentionally.
Elon Musk isn’t the only one making statements about Twitter’s competition with Threads; Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, also claimed in her tweets that Twitter is indispensable. She further added that everything is fine on the platform.
