Tesla, the leading brand in the electric car industry, came to the agenda with a very comprehensive recall operation this time. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warned users about a problem involving 700 thousand Tesla vehicles. The problem is related to the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light of vehicles not staying on between drives in some cases. Here are the details…
Which Tesla models are affected by the problem?
This recall has been one of Tesla’s recent problems. Over the past year, NHTSA has caused a total of seven recalls due to various problems such as a reversing camera, faulty wipers and loose tailgates, especially in the Cybertruck model.
In addition, last June, Tesla sent another over-the-air update to 1.8 million vehicles, addressing the risk that the hoods on the 2021-2024 Model 3, S and X and 2020-2024 Model Y models could open while travelling if they do not close properly.
To alleviate the concerns of its users, the company stated that the issue is software-based only and will be fixed quickly with an update. If you own an electric vehicle within the scope of the recall, it is useful to check the notifications and e-mails that will be sent from 15 February.
Despite such problems that Tesla often comes to the fore, the brand has a loyal customer base. So what do you think about Tesla’s recall processes? Don’t forget to share your opinions in the comments!
