Bloober Team is open to developing more games in the iconic survival horror series.In a recent interview, Bloober Team director and designer Wojciech Piejko said that the studio is open to all possibilities for future projects after Silent Hill 2 Remake.
New projects may be on the way after Silent Hill 2 Remake
While there are no concrete plans yet, Piejko hinted that there could be more Silent Hill remakes or entirely new games from Bloober Team. Silent Hill 2 Remake has been making a lot of noise in recent weeks. Bloober Team has successfully recreated the gameplay, atmosphere and story of the iconic game. The sales performance also showed that interest in the Silent Hill series is still strong.
Developed in collaboration with Bloober Team and Konami and released on PS5 and PC, the remake was an unexpected success. The game sold over 1 million copies in its first three days, gaining momentum in both digital and physical sales.
Konami, which holds the naming rights to the series, currently has several Silent Hill projects in development. Silent Hill: Townfall and Silent Hill f will be two new games set in the beloved world. A Return to Silent Hill movie is also in production.
Considered one of the most influential survival horror games of all time, Silent Hill 2 is also considered a masterpiece of its genre. Positive reviews suggest that the remake will be able to satisfy both new and old players.
