Silent Hill 2 Remake, which created great excitement in the horror game community, started to gain momentum with positive feedback from players just a few weeks before its release. The game, which received mixed reactions at first, started to regain its fans, especially with the recently released trailers and gameplay videos.

Silent Hill 2 Remake was received very positively when it was first announced. The first trailer received 314,000 likes on YouTube and only 8,200 dislikes for a 97 percent positive feedback rate. However, the “battle scenes” trailer released in January dropped the game’s approval rating to 59 percent and sparked great controversy among gamers. While it was thought that Bloober Team gave the wrong impression to the players with this trailer, the team emphasized that this was not the true spirit of the game.
These statements were not enough to stop the game’s negative trajectory, and the 13-minute gameplay trailer shared in May was met with an even lower rating of 53 percent. However, the recently released new story trailer received 17,932 likes and only 668 dislikes for a 96 percent positive feedback rate.
Recent trailers and gameplay videos show that Silent Hill 2 Remake is regaining popularity among fans. The 27-minute gameplay video shared by VGC also received 97 percent positive feedback.
