Nintendo Switch was introduced on March 3, 2017 and was met with great interest by gamers. After the success of the game console, the eyes are turned to Nintendo Switch 2. While gamers are eagerly waiting for Nintendo Switch 2, an important claim has been made about the new gaming console.
Nintendo will turn smartphones into gaming consoles
The patent about Nintendo’s new gaming console has excited gamers. Accordingly, Nintendo’s next-generation game console will have smartphone integration. Considering the recent impact of smartphones on the gaming world, this idea seems quite logical.
When we look at the shared patent image, we see the structure that combines the smartphone with the console. Accordingly, the smart phone will be held via a latch-like structure and will be connected to Nintendo’s new gaming console with the strap numbered 100.
The patent does not contain many details about the new gaming console, but this structure, where smartphones or tablets can be used as a screen, may be quite logical. Also, given that Nintendo designed the Switch to be compatible with multiple playgrounds, such a feature would serve just that purpose.
Nintendo has taken steps towards consoles and smartphone connectivity before. Note that the original Nintendo Switch comes with a mobile app that allows for online voice chat, friend requests even when away from the console, matchmaking, play dates, and even intuitive parental controls for younger gamers.
Over the years, Nintendo has been removing the border between smartphones and game consoles a little more. So what do you think about the transformation of smartphones into game consoles? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
