Last year, the smart glasses announced through a partnership between Meta and Ray-Ban sparked numerous discussions regarding privacy concerns. However, especially with its convenience for vlogging, the device has been gaining popularity, and with recent updates, it now offers instant sharing features on Instagram. According to recent announcements, the upcoming Solos AirGo Vision, equipped with GPT-4o integration, seems poised to compete directly with Meta’s smart glasses. Here are the details about Solos AirGo Vision:
Solos AirGo Vision will support ChatGPT 4o
While Ray-Ban Meta is currently a leader in the smart glasses market, the newly emerging Solos AirGo Vision might challenge it with its GPT 4o capabilities. Previously known for its voice-enabled smart glasses, Solos recently announced a version with added camera features, utilizing the GPT-4o model released by OpenAI a few months ago.
The Solos AirGo Vision smart glasses will feature the same interchangeable frame system used in Solos’ other glasses. This system allows users to detach the camera when not needed or when only a regular pair of glasses is desired. Additional frames will be available for prices ranging between $89 and $129.
Moreover, the glasses will include LEDs for notifying users about incoming calls and notifications. The company has also mentioned that users can integrate Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude AI models if they choose, similar to how Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses allow voice-based question answering.
Currently, no launch date or price has been set for the device, but it is expected to retail for over $250. What are your thoughts on Solos AirGo Vision? Do you think smart glasses are practical? Share your thoughts in the comments.
