Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures continue to work on the next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, shared important updates about the movie and stated that the writing phase will be completed soon.
Preparations for Spider-Man 4 are in full swing, Tom Holland is coming back!
In an interview with i09, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that they are working on Spider-Man 4 and that the draft script will be delivered soon. Feige said that he and producer Amy Pascal are overseeing the project and that the writers will deliver the script shortly.
In April, Tom Holland commented on the future of the franchise. Holland said they are working with a “team of the best” and are working on ideas for “what the story could be”. Noting the importance of preserving the franchise’s legacy, Holland said, “The third movie was very special in many ways and we need to make sure we get it right.”
In previous statements, Holland said he had considered leaving the role of Spider-Man, but was willing to return if the story was good enough. “Whether we can do justice to the character is another issue. I’m very protective of Spider-Man. It’s rare for all three movies to become more successful, and I want to preserve that legacy.” “I’m not going to do it just to make one more movie, the character has to earn its worth.”
Tom Holland has so far directed Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), the three main Spider-Man movies. He has also appeared as Spider-Man in several Avengers films.
In addition to Spider-Man 4, a Spider-Woman movie is reportedly in production and will be released sooner than expected.
