With the latest announcement, Spotify launched the Audiobooks section for users. Now, the platform lets users listen to music, podcasts, and Audiobooks in one place.
Spotify offers more than 300,000 audiobooks to users for now. The platform will expand its library day by day. However, the new section is only available in the United States. The company also doesn’t offer the new feature for free even if you are a Premium subscriber.
The brand says, “Just as we did with podcasting, this will introduce a new format to an audience that has never before consumed it, unlocking a new segment of potential listeners. This also helps us support even more kinds of creators and connect them with fans that will love their art—which makes this even more exciting.”
The new audiobooks section can be used in the United States. If you are in the U.S, you can now subscribe to the Audiobooks. Then, you will have access to the Audiobooks library and the music and podcasts section. You will see the Audiobooks in your library, in search, and your curated recommendations on Home.
Spotify Audiobooks lets you download the audiobooks for offline listening, and you can also continue to listen where you left off. You can also rate them with the rating feature. When the new feature is successful, the music streaming platform will launch it in other countries and markets.
