With artificial intelligence becoming increasingly widespread in recent years, Spotify is also taking a new step. Accordingly, the platform has started testing AI-powered playlist creation. So what will this innovation do? Here are the details…
Spotify is testing AI-powered playlist creation
Spotify introduced an AI-powered DJ feature in recent months. This innovation, which is currently in beta, will rank the latest music for users and unearth music that has not been listened to for a long time.
Spotify is now testing AI-powered playlist creation. With this feature, which is being tested with Android and iOS users in the UK and Australia, you will be able to create playlists by entering text.
The feature will allow you to create playlists based on genres (such as classical, rap/hip-hop, rock, jazz, etc.) or moods (such as songs that make you feel happy or energizing music for adrenaline-fueled moments). The AI will also be able to put together songs that are particularly suited to creative requests, such as “songs to get you pumped up while fighting zombies”.
However, let’s also say that you can revise the list you create with the feature. For example, when you want classical music, you may not like the songs listed and request a different request. At this point, it should be noted that artificial intelligence will look at your past listens when choosing songs.
It remains unclear for now when the AI-powered playlist creation feature for Spotify will be released for everyone. Estimates indicate the coming months. In this context, it seems that there is nothing to do but wait for now.
