Following the postponement of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl’s release date, developer GSC Game World has shared a 35-minute in-depth review of the game to calm impatient fans. Stalker 2’s unique atmosphere and free exploration are explained in detail in this long video.

GSC Game World says that Stalker 2 offers 20 different zones in its massive open world, dubbed the “Forbidden Zone of Chornobyl”. Each zone comes with its own inhabitants, anomalies and nature. There are very few barriers between these vast areas, giving players the freedom to explore and deepening the sense of solitude and anxiety. By exploring different regions, players will be able to shape in-game stories and missions according to their preferences.

The developer team points out that the game’s mission structure is quite free. Each play experience is designed to allow the player to encounter a different story, quests and characters based on their preferences. In addition, a world has been created where players can explore and find new equipment, weapons and upgrades.

Stalker 2 aims to create a more realistic atmosphere instead of offering players an easy gameplay experience. While players can customize their weapons with various upgrades, they will also have to pay attention to their hunger levels, fatigue and the weight of the equipment they carry. Instead of a classic level system, the game features a natural progression system that allows players to progress as they familiarize themselves with the environment and gain experience.

Unfortunate Turn of Events: Fire Breaks Out in Stalker 2 Developer’s Office

The development process of Stalker 2 continues to face challenges, with a recent fire occurring in the developer's office.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PC (Steam, GOG, Epic) and Game Pass on November 20th. What do you think of this post-apocalyptic survival experience?
