On 23 December 2023, Universal Pictures confirmed that The Odyssey will be released in cinemas worldwide on 17 July 2026. The latest IMAX film technology will be used in the production of the film, which will be a legendary action epic to be shot in global locations.
As stated by Universal, this will be the first film adaptation of Homer’s epic to be shown in cinemas using IMAX technology. At the same time, the film will bring a new dimension to the legendary story.
