Starlink crashes, Elon Musk apologizes

Ana sayfa / News

Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service left its users without internet access for approximately three hours after a worldwide outage. The problem, which began around 11:30 PM Turkish time, caused brief panic on social media, before statements from both the company and Elon Musk announced that service had returned to normal.

As soon as the outage began, Starlink users around the world flocked to platforms like X and Reddit, reporting connection issues. Thousands of complaints poured in on the outage tracking platform Down Detector within hours. The fact that 65% of the reports involved complete disconnections underscored the severity of the problem.

As user complaints mounted, the first statement came from SpaceX founder Elon Musk himself. Musk stated that the outage would be short-lived and apologized for the disruption in a post on his personal X account.

Following the resolution of the issue, Starlink’s official X account released a statement:

“The network issue has been resolved, and Starlink service has been restored. We recognize the importance of the connection and apologize for the disruption.”

Elon Musk also shared this message on his own account, stating, “SpaceX will eliminate the source of the problem to prevent such outages from occurring again,” and assuring that similar issues would not occur in the future.
