Steam once again set a record for concurrent player numbers over the weekend. According to the latest figures, more than 37.6 million players were active on the platform at the same time. The new record surpasses the previous record of 37.2 million set just two weeks ago.

As of September 8, Steam hosted 37 million 606,71 instant players. This means that the digital store has set a new record. The main reason for the increase of nearly 300 thousand is the new games added to the platform in September.

One of the biggest contributors to this increase was Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Developed by Saber Interactive, the third-person shooter made a big splash when it came out of early access. Although it is not yet at the top of Steam’s most played list, it appeals to more than 100 thousand people.

iPad mini 7 details leaked: No OLED!

The Apple iPad mini 7 will do big things with its small size. It is said to come with an 8.3-inch LCD screen, increased performance and Touch ID.

Another game that contributed to Steam’s success was Black Myth: Wukong. The game, which has been highly acclaimed since last month, has been played by more than 10 million players so far. It also attracted over 1 million players over the weekend.

Since the fall/winter gaming season has just started, it is possible to say that many big productions will be released. These include Frostpunk 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Let’s see if Steam can break the 38 million concurrent player threshold before the end of the year.
