Valve has made a significant update to the Steam platform, enhancing the review and feedback process. With the new update, reviews from Steam Deck users can now be seen on game pages within Steam. This is a major improvement, particularly for Steam Deck users who want to share their gaming experiences with others.
Valve updates Steam product pages: Steam Deck user reviews are now viewable
As part of the update, when a player leaves a review for a game played on a Steam Deck, a small Steam Deck icon will appear next to the review. This icon will be extremely helpful for other players who are curious about how the game performs on the device. Additionally, users can hover over the review to see how long the reviewer has played the game on the Steam Deck, providing an extra layer of trustworthiness.
This feature adds a “playtime” filter to the reviews section, allowing users to only view reviews made by Steam Deck players, offering greater convenience for those who prefer to focus on portable gaming performance.
The Steam Deck, known for its portability and performance, continues to attract attention in the gaming world. The device is equipped with a custom CPU featuring 4 cores and 8 threads based on Zen 2 architecture, an RDNA 2-based GPU, and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Depending on the model, it offers a display with a 1280 x 800 resolution, available in either LCD or OLED options.
With this update, players will now have access to more information when making gaming decisions, which is particularly important for new platforms like Steam Deck. What do you think of this new feature? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
