The countdown has begun for the iPhone 17 Air, which Apple plans to unveil later this year. The model is expected to be introduced in September, and several reports have already surfaced regarding its design and features. These reports consistently suggest that the device will stand out with its slim profile and deliver a satisfying user experience. Now, new details about the phone have emerged.
iPhone 17 Air’s Selfie Camera Will Be Placed Differently
According to reliable industry insider Majin Bu, new images reveal an unexpected detail about the iPhone 17 Air. Unlike other models in the series, the selfie camera will be positioned on the left side of the screen.
As many know, in current and upcoming iPhone models, the selfie camera is typically located at the top center of the screen, just to the right of the Face ID sensor. However, this won’t be the case for the Air model. Based on leaked screen protector images, the selfie camera is now expected to be positioned on the left.
The reason behind this change is currently unclear. However, according to the source, it may be due to the phone’s slim design. The larger display combined with the thin structure might require internal components to be arranged differently. It’s believed that Apple may have moved the front camera to the left in order to properly accommodate the Face ID sensor within this new layout.
Of course, it’s worth noting that all of this information is based on leaks, and it’s best to wait for an official announcement from Apple for confirmation.
