Switch 2 update arrives: Legendary game crashed!

Nintendo is working diligently to improve the backward compatibility of its next-generation console, the Switch 2. The company’s latest Switch 2 update rebalanced the library. While these patches fixed annoying bugs in some popular games, unfortunately, some legendary games became unplayable.

Nintendo’s latest firmware update has particularly pleased action and RPG enthusiasts. The following games, which previously experienced crashes or graphical glitches, have been completely resolved. These games now run smoothly with the new console’s hardware power:

Unfortunately, the update didn’t cure every game; it even worsened some. Capcom’s masterpiece, Resident Evil 4, in particular, experienced a serious progression bug following this update, causing disappointment among players. The newly problematic games added to the list are as follows:

Nintendo’s own Pokemon series continues to struggle. Technical glitches in the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games, reported in early November, have not been resolved despite the release of version 21.0.1. Player feedback confirms that visual glitches and performance drops persist.

Nintendo is expected to release an urgent fix for Resident Evil 4 and Pokemon in the coming weeks.
