Switching from iPhone to Android will be easier!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple is preparing to take a new step to make the transition from iPhone to Android easier. Codes that emerged in the Android 16 beta version show that with iOS 19, the eSIM on the iPhone can be transferred directly to the Android device wirelessly.

This feature will automate the eSIM transfer that users had to do manually with the carrier until now. According to the leaks, Google’s SIM Manager app now includes references to a new section titled “Transfer from iPhone to Android”.

This section is expected to be located under the iPhone’s Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone menu. The system’s operating logic is based on the principle of transferring the eSIM wirelessly when a QR code shown on the iPhone is scanned with the Android device. This method will work in the same way as eSIM transfers made between Android devices.

The feature has not been officially announced yet. However, emerging information suggests that Apple may introduce this innovation as part of iOS 19 at WWDC 2025 in June. It is also possible that the company will offer this function in an interim update of iOS 18 in the summer.

For now, the eSIM transfer process requires users to contact the relevant mobile operator and perform manual operations. On the Android side, eSIMs can be easily transferred to another Android device wirelessly via QR code.

Apple’s inclusion of this feature in iOS will eliminate one of the biggest obstacles that iPhone users face in the transition to Android. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
