The gaming world has suffered from price hikes in recent years. While the prices of big budget productions go up from 60 dollars to 70 dollars, they can increase even more with additional packages. In this context, there are unexpected predictions for the price of GTA 6. It was stated that the developer studio could price the game between 80-100 dollars.
GTA 6 price can withstand 100 dollars
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, wants to take advantage of the price hike for big budget games. While games are currently priced at $70, a title like GTA 6 could get a special tariff. This means the game could go up to $100.
In a recent interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the company’s policy on game pricing. Zelnick did not directly address GTA 6, but said that Take-Two has always aimed to “deliver substantially more.”
The CEO of Take-Two has previously said that game prices should increase. The PS4/Switch versions of Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare were priced at $50. Considering Zelnick’s recent statements, some gamers are worried about GTA 6.
On the other hand, Take-Two President Karl Slatoff stated in his speech that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025. “User anticipation for this game is unprecedented and our expectations for its commercial impact continue to grow,” he said.
