TCL has announced new TVs and sound systems that support Dolby’s FlexConnect technology. FlexConnect eliminates the complexity of setting up audio devices, allowing wireless speakers to be placed freely in the room and automatically adjusts the sound according to the acoustics of the environment.
TCL to integrate new Dolby FlexConnect technology
First introduced in 2023 and announced to be used in 2024 models, FlexConnect will be available in TCL devices for the first time in the market. Integrated in TCL’s 2025 QD-Mini LED TVs, this technology easily overcomes technical difficulties, especially in installation and pairing between TVs and sound systems.
Without the user having to deal with details such as room size, socket location or cabling, the speakers automatically adjust the sound output according to the environment. Thanks to this structure, the surround sound experience becomes more practical than ever before.
The first audio device to support FlexConnect technology was the TCL Z100 smart speaker. This speaker is compatible with the QM6K, QM7K and new QM8K televisions in the Precise Dimming series. The Z100 speaker can be scaled up to four and works with the television’s internal speakers to provide a three-dimensional sound experience supported by Dolby Atmos.
While the QM8K model left its mark on the new generation television series, TCL also introduced the new Dolby Atmos compatible sound system Q65H. The Z100 speaker model with FlexConnect support will be sold for approximately $210.
