Teenager’s iPhone love surprised: Only old people use Android!

Ana sayfa / Technology

A new study reveals a generational divide in smartphone preferences. Teenagers (or Generation Z) see Android phones as outdated, while adults love the customization options. Here’s Android and iPhone usage by age.

Survey: 87% of teenager prefers iPhone

According to a new study, iPhone adoption rates are far ahead of Android. For young people who grew up with smartphones, Android devices represent their parents’ outdated phones. Android devices also lag behind the iPhone’s features.

In fact, the research showed that many Android users in the US have become the “laughing stock”. Many high school-aged Android users are criticized by their iOS-owning peers. According to these young people, Android devices are long past their prime.

Google Pixel Watch 2 specs and design leak ahead of launch

While Google is preparing to introduce its new smartwatch in the coming months, the features of the Pixel Watch 2 model have been revealed.

Currently, Apple is far ahead of Android in US market share, 57 percent to 42 percent. In addition, a survey conducted last year showed that 87 percent of young people own and will continue to use iPhones.

Android, on the other hand, is ahead of Apple worldwide. Android has 71 percent of the global smartphone market and Apple has 28 percent. This shows that users in other countries are diverging from the US.

Contrary to what young people think, the compatibility between Android and iPhone is at an all-time high. For example, Android has Nearby Share, which is similar to AirDrop. And the Android messaging app offers iPhone-like features with RCS support.
