Mozilla claimed that Microsoft management unknowingly directed Firefox users to Microsoft Edge through a series of deceptive tactics. In its official statement, Mozilla listed all the strategies used by Microsoft one after another. The first of these stood out as constantly being exposed to Edge ads for someone who wants to download Google Chrome to their computer.
The second was determined to be a deliberate complication of the settings required to use another internet browser instead of Edge. According to Mozilla’s claim, the third and final strategy used was to ensure that the Microsoft interface remained in Edge by disturbing the user with fake notifications.
Mozilla stated that this situation indirectly inhibits the competition between internet browsers and puts Edge at an advantage. The company announced that it will fight the legal battle until Microsoft ends the discussions and methods it uses.
Microsoft, which is considered one of the most valuable companies in the world, remains silent against these serious allegations. However, we know that the company has come up with similar accusations before.
