So far, it’s been four years of internet discussions, hilarious posts on the subject and an extremely long wait. When Cybertruck first appeared on the scene, its windows were broken in the unbreakable glass test. It’s been so long since then that we’ve been through some major events, like a global pandemic. But finally, Cybertruck seems to be taking the final bends before going into mass production.
Tesla Cybertruck first delivery date will be November 30
Tesla announced today, as it released earnings for the third quarter of 2023, that the first production versions of the brand’s long-awaited Cybertruck will finally be delivered to customers on November 30 at the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. The news comes after production of the electric pickup truck was delayed multiple times.
While the first 2024 Cybertruck was reportedly auctioned for $400,000, official specifications are still awaited. Cybertruck production was originally scheduled to begin in late 2021. Production was then delayed to start in 2022 before Musk launched the ball rolling towards 2023. In January, Musk confirmed that Cybertruck will not go into full-volume production until 2024.
Internet sleuths and excited Tesla fans have been posting spy photos of delivery trucks loaded with Cybertuck in large numbers. The number of test vehicles seen driving on the road has also increased. This confirms that we will see more of this vehicle as normal.
Tesla announced that the starting price of the single-motor RWD version of the vehicle will be 39,900 dollars. The twin-motor AWD truck was planned to cost $49,000 and the three-motor AWD was planned to be launched with a 500-mile range and a starting price of $69,900.
Musk has all but confirmed that there will be a price increase over the initial estimate. “Because it’s a new car, a new way of manufacturing, it’s going to be hard to make it affordable,” the CEO backtracked on the price, according to a report by Forbes. We won’t know for sure until Tesla itself confirms the initial selling price.
