Tesla has shared a new video showcasing the wireless charging capabilities of its recently introduced Robotaxi. The video shows how Tesla is bringing its fully autonomous transportation concept to life. Tesla’s Robotaxi model will be a fully autonomous vehicle without traditional controls such as steering wheel and pedals, and will transport passengers from point A to point B without any human intervention.

According to Elon Musk, Tesla’s vision of autonomy is not limited to the driving of the vehicle. Even charging the vehicle does not require human intervention. Robotaxi can charge itself by hovering over a wireless charging pad.
In fact, Tesla first introduced this feature at the Investor Day in 2023. In the new video, we saw it more clearly. In the video, the vehicle moves towards the charging pad and can charge its energy without the need for any cables.
Another detail that draws attention in the shared video is the charging power. The power of the charging pad is stated as 25 kW. It is not yet clear whether Tesla will apply this wireless charging technology to its existing vehicles. In particular, Tesla’s acquisition of the wireless charging technology company Wiferion a few years ago led to speculation that this feature could be included in future models.
Robotaxi is also touted as a great investment for both owners and passengers. Owners will be able to use the vehicle to generate income with an application to be developed by Tesla. In addition, a fully customizable experience will be offered for passengers; details such as temperature and music can be adjusted according to user preference.
