Tesla breaks an interesting record

Ana sayfa /

More than two hundred Tesla owners in the US gathered at an altitude of 4,302 meters to create a light show. This impressive display, held at the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the “world’s highest-altitude Tesla light show.”

In this event, organized by the Denver Tesla Owners Club, more than 200 Tesla vehicles lined up along mountain roads, synchronizing their headlights, taillights, and LED lights to music. Despite the thin air and freezing cold, the vehicles’ batteries performed surprisingly well. The resulting footage generated significant interest on social media.

The software that allows Tesla vehicles to synchronize their lights at such events is known as Tesla Light Show. This feature, introduced with a 2021 update, allows the vehicles’ lights to flash in time with a selected music.

Vehicle owners can create their own choreography using open-source software called xLights and upload it to their vehicles via USB. This way, hundreds of Teslas using the same choreography can achieve harmonious light synchronization when they come together.

The success of the light show could lead to similar high-altitude events in the future. We may also see events showcasing Tesla’s various capabilities, such as its autonomous driving capabilities, at such events.
